Mila Kunis: It’s a ‘luxury’ to be stay-at-home mom to baby Wyatt

For Mila Kunis, being a stay-at-home mom has been a mini reprieve and “a blessing.â€

The “Jupiter Ascending†star made her first official post-baby appearance on “The Late Late Show†on Wednesday, saying that she was happy to be home with her 9-week-old daughter Wyatt Isabelle, whom she welcomed with fiance Ashton Kutcher on Sept. 30.

“I was able to take time off work, which was nice,†the 31-year-old told outgoing host Craig Ferguson. “[I went] nowhere, I went home! That is my version of time off. I spent all my 20s -- it sounds crazy -- but I did spend all my 20s traveling and it’s the greatest experience ever. You get to see the world and you experience life and you meet people and it’s fantastic, but you don’t have a home. And so when I decided to take time off, all I wanted to do was have the same bed to wake up in, a routine, a house -- and it was great.â€

Kunis added that she loves this more traditional version of her life.

“I think it’s a luxury to be able to do that. Like I am able to be a stay-at-home mom with my kid, and I do find that nowadays people can’t do that. Everyone has to have a job and you have to have a two-person household. So, I was able to take time off and actually raise my child, which I consider a blessing.â€

The “That ‘70s Show†alum also plans to take her baby girl with her when she decides to head back to work.

Ferguson insisted that baby girls were easier to handle than baby boys -- that is, until they hit their teens.

“That’s not my problem, that’s daddy’s problem,†she quipped. (Indeed, Kutcher has already taken a few measures to protect his firstborn.)

“You have boys, yeah? It’s different,†she said. “My sister-in-law had a little boy two weeks prior to us having our little girl and it is completely different. Everything.â€

Kunis arrived for the show in a cutout little black dress and the host told her she looked great, of course bringing up her postpartum workout regime.

“It’s called ‘baby,’†she said. “Breastfeeding is a great workout! ... [I’m] not too tired. I seem to eat a lot so that kind of keeps me going through the day. I do love to eat healthy.â€

Kunis also talked about her past scooping ice cream at Rite Aid and how her parents made her figure out the bus system in Los Angeles. Watch those clips above.
