Dodgers, Bobby Miller have near perfect outing in win over Phillies
PHILADELPHIA — Thanks to short starts, blown leads and walk-off losses, this Dodgers trip was starting to look like a horror film.
That is until Bobby Miller and an opportunistic offense responded with a nearly perfect script Saturday afternoon.
In a 9-0 win over the Philadelphia Phillies, the Dodgers shook off some of the frustrations from earlier this week — when they began their two-city swing with three losses, all in walk-off fashion, out of four games — by offering the kind of complete performance that has too often eluded them of late.

David Peralta followed with a double to the wall in right, prompting the Phillies to pull Hoffman in favor of Yunior Marte. Jason Heyward grounded out to end the 52-pitch, six-run inning.

Friday recap: Dodgers dealt double blow with Julio UrĂas’ delayed return and walk-off loss
PHILADELPHIA — The Dodgers have been running short on pitching options lately.
Both to start games — and finish them.
In less than a week, the team went from having a potential surplus of starting pitching to being shorthanded in the rotation once again after a setback to Julio UrĂas’ hamstring injury.
In that same time, they’ve watched their once-improving bullpen slip back into a late-game slump, suffering their third walk-off loss of this week’s trip in a 5-4 defeat Friday to the Philadelphia Phillies.
“A loss is a loss, but when you feel like you’re in it and you get walked off, that never feels good,” Dodgers manager Dave Roberts said. “This is a resilient team and we’ve got to keep going.”
