Service on the Metro Gold Line between Union Station and the Soto Street Station was delayed during the rush-hour commute Wednesday because of a power outage, transit officials said.

Trains were sharing a single line of track, causing delays up to 15 minutes, Metro said.

Earlier, service between the stations was entirely shut down for about an hour. Buses were transporting passengers from Patsaouras Plaza at Union Station to the Soto Station, Metro said on its Twitter account.

It was unclear how long the trains would be sharing the track.

[Updated, 6:28 p.m., Dec. 4: Full service has been restored, Metro said.]

Earlier, service on the Blue Line in downtown Long Beach was suspended for much of the day after the train’s overhead power was damaged at 9th Street and Long Beach Boulevard, officials said. Service was restored Wednesday afternoon.
