Fullilove vs. Boudet on ‘Knife Fight’; Sprinkles at Grand Park; Tipsy Tapitas pop-up

Fight, fight, fight: The latest episode of Esquire Network’s cooking competition show “Knife Fight” -- hosted by “Top Chef”-er Ilan Hall and set in his restaurant, the Gorbals -- pits Los Angeles County Museum of Art executive chef Jason Fullilove against chef Brandon Boudet of Dominick’s. The ingredients? Squab, Dungeness crab and cod along with cod sperm. Guest judges this week include actress Erika Christensen (“Traffic”) and L.A. Weekly’s Amy Scattergood, with pro skateboarder Eric Koston as time keeper. Airs Tuesday at 9 p.m. on Esquire Network.

Pink Sprinkles: Downtown’s Grand Park turns 1-year-old this month and to celebrate, it has partnered with Sprinkles Cupcakes to create a special Grand Park Strawberry Cupcake (pink to match the lawn furniture), with all proceeds from sales to support the park’s free events and activities. Cordero Negro pop-up: Chef Sandra Cordero from the pop-up Cordero Negro and mixologist Kim Stodel from Bar Chloe present Tipsy Tapitas, a 16-course tapas tasting for two nights only, Oct. 20 and 21. The menu includes such tapitas as olive tostada with pisto and quail egg, roasted cauliflower and saffron soup, croquetas, Swiss chard stuffed with morcilla sausage, mini lamb burger on a pretzel bun with saffron aioli, chocolate ganache cake, homemade turron and Night Owl espresso ice cream. Sodel will pair cocktails such as the Chloe Crisp (fresh muddled serrano, cucumber, basil, tequila, agave and lime) and El Viejito (jamon-infused apple brandy, Angostura bitters, orange and lemon twist). $65 per person; buy tickets at https://tipsytapitas.eventbrite.com.
