Sandra Bullock rocks ‘Minions’ heels for charity at Los Angeles premiere
Sandra Bullock went full-on Scarlet Overkill for the Los Angeles premiere of “Minions,” wearing custom-made minion pumps that are the best thing to hit the red carpet since Angelina Jolie’s “Maleficent” Louboutins.
The star dressed to the nines to debut the film at the Shrine Auditorium on Saturday with co-stars Jon Hamm and Allison Janney, giving a clear nod to the goggled characters with her black-and-yellow Roksanda dress, dark Dolce & Gabbana shades and novelty shoes.
The Oscar winner, who plays feisty pre-Gru villain Scarlet Overkill in the animated film, traipsed the yellow carpet in adorable patent-leather Rupert Sanderson pumps that featured the henchmens’ eyes on the front and lash-like hair on the back.
Fans of “Despicable Me’s” indistinctly speaking creatures can bid on 10 replicas of the heels, autographed by Bullock, during Charity Buzz’s auction, according to People. The auction runs July 1-10 and benefits Art + Practice, a south Los Angeles foundation that empowers youth and community through contemporary art.
Sans autograph, the limited-edition pumps retail for more than $800 and are part of Universal Pictures and Illumination Entertainment’s high-fashion collaborations that includes Giles Deacon, Vogue and numerous other designers.
“Minions” hits theaters July 10.
