Rob Kardashian reappears on Instagram with provocative post about Kim
Rob Kardashian has surfaced again on social media after a hiatus, as Rob Kardashian has been known to do.
This time, he’s invoked sister Kim Kardashian’s name in an Instagram post that folks aren’t sure whether to take seriously or laugh off as a joke.
“This is my sister kim , the bitch from Gone Girl,,,” the 28-year-old wrote, captioning a shot from the movie of a blond Rosamund Pike covered in blood as the psycho character Amy Dunne.
It’s currently the only image on his Instagram page, which has otherwise been wiped clean. He reportedly unfollowed and then refollowed his family members as well.
Kim Kardashian, of course, made headlines recently by going platinum blond -- and Rob made headlines in May of last year when he famously skipped out on her wedding to Kanye West the morning of, flying back home from Europe while the rest of the clan celebrated the marriage.
He’d reportedly taken off because he was uncomfortable with his weight and didn’t want to be photographed. Upon his arrival home, Rob defended himself, saying he was “aware” that he was fat and declaring he would address the situation when he dang well felt like it.
So are Rob and Kim not getting along now, to the point where he’d liken her to a murderous, mentally unstable conniver?
“He sent me a long e-mail the morning of, that he was going to leave, and there was no fight,” Kim said months later, in August, on “Watch What Happens Live.” During the interview, in which she seemed to confirm that weight had been behind her brother’s decision to skip the wedding, she said, “I try to encourage him, and once you don’t make that change for so long and it’s not happening, I get frustrated. My patience runs out.”
Khloe Kardashian talked to Wonderwall about her brother on Saturday, before the Instagram post went up.
“I just feel, especially over the last year, Rob has become very introverted and has a kind of social anxiety,” Khloe said. “He’s definitely not at his happiest place that he once was, and I know he can get to that happy place and he will.”
A source described as “close to the family” told People that Rob has “been depressed and just a bit off in general,” but chalked up the “Gone Girl” post to Rob’s quirky sense of humor.
Meaning, don’t read too much into it.
