Celebs react to Colorado theater shooting: ‘So sad, so mindless.’
The shooting rampage early Friday in a Colorado movie theater screening “The Dark Knight Rises†at midnight drew comments on Twitter from a range of celebrities, offering condolences for the 12 dead and dozens injured and expressing outrage at a world where such a thing could happen.
A red-carpet premiere for “The Dark Knight Rises†set for Saturday in Paris has been canceled.
“Feeling sad, angry, numb ... sending Love, Light & Healing to everyone affected by the tragedy in Aurora, Colorado,†said actress Gabrielle Union.

“What devastating news to wake up to,†wrote John Stamos. “my heart is with everyone involved in the Aurora #theatershooting. what the world needs now is... “
Before sending along links to news stories and photos about the massacre, Alyssa Milano wrote, “No. Colorado shooting. My heart aches. Prayers for the victims and families.â€
“My heart goes out to all the victims in Colorado. This is just insane,†said “Glee†actor and dancer Harry Shum Jr.
Prayers for the people of Aurora, Colo., also came from “American Idol†judge Randy Jackson, celebrity chef Paula Deen and hip-hop magnate Russell Simmons.

Meanwhile, a prayerful LeBron James was also shaking his head with disbelief: “So u telling me I can’t even feel safe at the movies now!!? SMH. My prayers goes out to all the families involved in Aurora, Colorado.â€
“what the hell is happening??,†tweeted “Captain America†actor Chris Evans, whose previous post from June 9 noted he was just returning from an “amazing wedding†in Colorado. “my heart is completely shattered. all of my thoughts and prayers are with the people of aurora.â€
And in offering her condolences to the victims and families, “The Newsroom†costar Olivia Munn summed it up: “So sad, so mindless.â€
