No magic tax cuts

Re “Keynesian trillions,” editorial, Jan. 29

President Bush would have us believe that making his tax cuts permanent would be a magic elixir for the economy. But if his tax cuts so far have been such a great thing for the economy, why do we appear to be heading into a serious recession?
