Kidnapped Children’s Slayings Spark Outcry

About 400 protesters blocked a highway as at least five demonstrations erupted in Venezuela’s capital after the slayings of three brothers set off an outcry against crime and police corruption.
Troops fired rubber bullets and tear gas, witnesses said. Protesters set tires and trash on fire.
The bodies of the Faddoul brothers -- John, 17, Kevin, 13, and Jason, 12, who held Canadian-Venezuelan citizenship -- were found Tuesday, 41 days after they were abducted at a bogus checkpoint. Their driver, Miguel Ribas, 30, also was killed.
