The beef over Paris McDonald’s

Regarding “Comfort-Food Craving in City of Fine Cuisine” [Letters, Aug. 8] about the letter writer’s happy experiences at McDonald’s in Paris: I am not at all surprised Susan Spano left out McDonald’s in her Aug. 1 story. I have been to Paris many times and did notice a McDonald’s near my Left Bank hotel.
When I mentioned it to our concierge, he made it quite clear that its burgers were awful. And since he always recommended great, modestly priced restaurants, I took his advice and steered clear of McDonald’s.
