South Bark
I read Lorenza Mun~oz’s article on Ashley Judd (“A Picture of Confidence,” Sept. 12) and was offended at the stereotypical comment, “She was probably a typical Southern gal, whose knowledge of the world went not much further than the season daffodils bloom and the color of the Appalachian mountains in spring.”
I would hope that Ashley would also dislike that comment. Southerners are tired of being depicted this way. Many of us have actually traveled across county lines--excuse the sarcasm. And yes, the Appalachian mountains are beautiful in the spring, as well as any other season.
