Man Stabbed in Back While Pumping Gas
A man was stabbed in the back while pumping gas early Sunday in Oxnard by an attacker who demanded beer, police said.
James Grisoffi, 43, of Saugus was fueling a limousine at a Shell gas station at 2460 E. Vineyard Ave. about 3:30 a.m. when someone approached him from behind, demanded beer and stabbed him in the lower back before he could respond.
The attacker fled in a late-1980s tan vehicle, authorities said.
Grisoffi was treated at St. John’s Regional Medical Center in Oxnard and released. The stab wound was not life-threatening.
