Skimming the Surface

The article by Greg Hernandez (“Identical Stories,” July 12), did nothing to illuminate the controversial story of the Han sisters. It simply represented a formulaic black-and-white psychodrama of blood relations gone bad. The negligent mother and her wayward twins are portrayed mechanically as caricatures, as stereotypes that create the myth of the “marred minority.”
