American Medical International of Beverly Hills said it sold its AMI Health Plan of Houston, the second-largest preferred provider organization in the Houston region, to Affiliated Health Systems. The deal will bring 44,000 members and 10 new hospitals into Houston-based Affiliated’s statewide system, making it one of the largest PPOs in Texas. The price of the sale was not disclosed.
