Breakdown: St. Michael’s is a Catholic boarding school in Silverado that boasts a teacher-to-student ratio of one-to-four. The same is true of its points-allowed-to-points-scored ratio during a nine-game losing streak with which it enters its 2016 opener … The Archangels were outscored, 487-114, during last year’s 0-8 campaign in which its seven losses on the field (they forfeited one game) included scores of 85-0, 72-0, 80-14 and 78-28. The fewest points St. Michael’s gave up in 2015 were 45. In the nine-game streak, it has allowed 68.1 points per game, while scoring 16.8 per contest … Sage Hill’s eight-man debut was a 54-30 loss to Calvary Chapel Downey, which made it eight losses in the Lightning’s last nine games … Leong completed 20 of 33 passes for 186 yards and four touchdowns last week to trigger all of Sage’s scoring … McCord caught TD tosses of 25 and 22 yards, while Shayan-Smith’s two TD receptions included a 26-yarder … Karahalios led the Sage ground game with 45 yards on 10 rushing attempts … This is the second of eight consecutive Lightning home games to start the season.
