High School Roundup: CdM stays undefeated in league

GIRLS’ VOLLEYBALL
Corona del Mar def. Woodbridge
Ashley Humphreys finished with 16 kills on Wednesday, helping the host Sea Kings stay undefeated with a 25-23, 20-25, 25-22, 25-23 Pacific Coast League win.
Christina Davenport had 11 kills for CdM (7-5, 3-0 in league).
Kendall Kipp added nine kills and Alexa Bonanno contributed seven kills.

The doubles teams of Camellia Edalat and Brooke Kenerson, as well as Shaya Northrup and Izzy Dajee, both swept for CdM in Wednesday’s nonleague home match.
Danielle Willson and Jasie Dunk both won twice in singles, and substitute Sina Schwenk-Mueller also won a singles set for CdM (9-0).
CdM, the top-ranked team in CIF Southern Section Division 1, plays host to No. 5 University in a key Pacific Coast League match Thursday at 3 p.m.

IRVINE — Gabby Finear shot even-par 36 and earned medalist honors for the Sea Kings in the Pacific Coast League match at Oak Creek Golf Club on Wednesday.
Sydney Scharf (43), Celine Niu (44), Gia Finear (46) and Malia Halafuka (50) also scored for CdM (6-3, 3-3 in league).
