VISALIA – Jeff Zordani hit two home runs and Stephen Knapp allowed three hits over seven innings to lead the Rustlers in the nonconference road game on Saturday.
Knapp struck out seven and did not walk a batter to post his first win in as many decisions.
Along with Zordani, Zakk Morgan (two runs batted in), Jeremiah Vison, Ryan Carpenter and Myles Moran also had two hits apiece to lead the Rustlers’ 14-hit attack.
Reedley 6, Golden West 2
REEDLEY – Myles Moran and Chris Rodriguez drove in runs for the visiting Rustlers in the nonconference game Saturday.
Golden West fell to 1-4, while Reedley improved to 6-0.

The host Pirates rallied to defeat defending state champion Long Beach, 26-24, 19-25, 19-25, 25-23, 15-11, after falling in four sets to Santa Monica on Saturday.
In a rematch of state finalists against Long Beach, sophomore Jordan Hoppe had 17 kills and 16 digs, and sophomore Justin Kam had 16 kills.
In the 15-25, 25-19, 27-25, 27-25 loss to Santa Monica, Colby Elder had 34 assists for OCC (2-1).
WOMEN’S WATER POLO
Stanford tournament
STANFORD – No. 6-ranked UC Irvine split four games over two days in the event contested Saturday and Sunday at Stanford.
On Sunday, UCI fell to No. 1 Stanford, 11-4, then topped San Jose State, 18-7.
McKenna Mitchell shared team-high scoring honors with Kelsey Thornton with three goals against San Jose State.
Mitchell had two goals against Stanford.
On Saturday, Mary Brooks had four goals to key a 9-5 win over No. 20-ranked Loyola Marymount.
Brooks had four goals in a 9-8 loss to No. 8-ranked Hawaii.
UCI is 4-2.
MEN’S BASKETBALL
Vanguard 99, William Jessup 96 (OT)
Shacquille Dawkins had 26 points and five assists to lead the host Lions in the Golden State Athletic Conference game Saturday.
Zach Allmon had 20 points and seven rebounds and Victor Evans added 21 points for the winners (6-18, 4-6 in conference).
No. 20-ranked William Jessup fell to 16-8, 6-4.
WOMEN’S BASKETBALL
Vanguard 58, William Jessup 50
Senior Claire Lamunu had 24 points and 13 rebounds to lead the No. 5-ranked Lions in the Golden State Athletic Conference home game on Saturday.
Vanguard improved to 22-1, 10-0 in conference.
WJU fell to 8-11, 2-8.
