Motorcyclist hospitalized after crash in Newport Beach

A motorcyclist was hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries Thursday night after a collision with a vehicle on West Coast Highway in Newport Beach, authorities said.

The motorcyclist was traveling east in the 1200 block just after 7 p.m. when the vehicle collided with another that was pulling out of a driveway, said Newport Beach police Sgt. Corey Wolik.

West Coast Highway was closed in both directions for about two hours after the crash, authorities said.

No other injuries were reported.
