Newport Beach Jazz Festival plays out this weekend

Thousands of jazz enthusiasts are expected to get a head start on summer as the Hyatt Regency hotel hosts the annual Newport Beach Jazz Festival this weekend.
The festival, which begins Friday evening and lasts through Sunday, will feature performances by some of the world’s top vocalists and instrumental artists.
Jonathan Fritzen and Vincent Ingala will perform Friday.
Saturday will feature Michael McDonald, Peter White, Paul Taylor, Euge Groove, Average White Band, Morgan James, Karen Briggs, Phil Denny and the Bordeaux Brothers.
Sunday’s performers will be Brian Culbertson, Stephanie Mills, Gerald Albright, Jonathan Butler, Don Was and the Detroit Dukes, Jackiem Joyner, Selina Albright, Curtis Brooks and Gee Mack and the Swing Set.
