Curry to interview District 7 candidates

Residents interested in learning more about candidates vying for the Newport Beach City Council seat representing Newport Coast and Newport Ridge will have their first chance Thursday.

Termed-out Councilman Keith Curry plans to host a community forum, where he will conduct “job interviews” with the announced candidates for District 7.

Local attorney Phil Greer, attorney and finance committee member Will O’Neill and former planning commissioner Fred Ameri have declared their intent to run.

A meet and greet with the candidates will begin at 5:30 p.m. in the gymnasium of the Newport Coast Community Center, 6401 San Joaquin Hills Road. The program will begin at 6 p.m.
