4 arrested in $7,200 theft from AT&T store in Newport Beach

Four men were arrested on suspicion of stealing thousands of dollars worth of merchandise from an AT&T store in Newport Beach, authorities said Thursday.
Kendall Mcdaniel, 24, Calvin Makes, 26, Richard Nichols, 26, and Christopher Arnold, 24, all of Bakersfield, were arrested on suspicion of commercial burglary in the theft of $7,200 worth of phones and iPads, Newport Beach police Sgt. Justin Morouse said.
At 8:03 p.m. Wednesday, witnesses reported seeing four men stealing various merchandise from shelves at the store, located at 2345 E. Coast Hwy., police said.
The witnesses provided police with a description of their car, a white Camry, Morouse said.
Police located the car and stopped it near Valley View Street and the 405 Freeway.
Officers found phones and iPads inside the vehicle and the men were arrested, Morouse said.
