Two people were hospitalized after a rollover crash on the 55 Freeway in Costa Mesa on Monday night.
Crews responded around 11:30 p.m. to the southbound freeway, where debris was strewn across the lanes after a four-car collision just north of Fair Drive, said Costa Mesa Fire Department Capt. Chris Coates.
Firefighters had to force open a door on a flipped vehicle to free a woman inside, according to Coates.
She and a man who also was in the vehicle were taken to Orange County Global Medical Center in Santa Ana in moderate condition, according to authorities.
Two other people were injured in the crash, but they declined to be taken to hospitals, Coates said.
None of the injuries appeared to be life-threatening, Coates said.
