Laguna nonprofits have until Tuesday to apply to display their banners on Forest Avenue

The deadline is quickly approaching for Laguna Beach nonprofits to let the city know if they are interested in placing a banner with their name on it above Forest Avenue in the heart of downtown in 2018.
The nonprofits can apply each year to display a banner for two two-week periods. The permit fee for a banner is $50.
Organizations have until 5:30 p.m. Tuesday to contact Patty Slowsky at [email protected], according to a city news release. There is no formal application form.
City staff will email nonprofit representatives a list of available dates — the city has reserved certain weeks — and the representatives, in turn, will list their first, second and third choices.
Once organizations submit their date preferences, the city will draw names using a lottery system.
