5 men sought in smash-and-grab robbery at Rolex store in South Coast Plaza

Costa Mesa police are seeking five men who wore hoodies and masks during a smash-and-grab robbery in the Rolex store at South Coast Plaza on Friday night.
The incident happened about 8:20 p.m. as the robbers rushed into the store and restrained a security guard, according to police.
The intruders shattered a display case and grabbed an unspecified amount of merchandise before fleeing, police said.
No shots were fired during the robbery, and no injuries were reported, police said. It’s unclear whether the robbers were armed.
Santa Ana police found a black Chevrolet Impala that investigators believe was used in the crime. The car had been reported stolen in Brea, police said.
Detectives seized unspecified evidence from the vehicle and are continuing to investigate, according to police.
