UCI’s Meggs is Big West Player of the Week

UC Irvine senior guard Kelly Meggs was named the Big West Conference Player of the Week in women’s basketball after she averaged 20 points and made 72% of her shots in two wins last week.

Meggs, who is 5-foot-7, hit 13 of 18 shots in the Anteaters’ victories against Cal State Fullerton and UC Davis, helping the Anteaters earn the No. 4 seed in the Big West Conference Tournament.

Meggs knocked down 11 of 15 three-pointers during the two games, including a career-best six threes against Cal State Fullerton.
