LOS ANGELES — Kris Paulino went one for three with a walk during a nonconference game on Tuesday, but the No. 25th-ranked Anteaters’ 10-game winning streak ended.
Connor Spencer, Taylor Sparks and Jerry McClanahan each had a hit for UCI (12-4), which was shut out for the second time this season.
No. 24 UCLA improved to 9-7.

Rachel Stalford went the distance for the Lions, striking out three and allowing two runs on four hits in the first game of a Golden State Athletic Conference doubleheader at home on Tuesday.
Breanne Gomez and Shelby Kuryllo each went two for three with two runs batted in for Vanguard (15-8, 1-3 in conference).
Jo Karla Jimenez had the Lions’ lone hit in the second game.
