Estancia’s Urquiza on first team

Estancia High junior linebacker Ronnie Urquiza is one of five Eagles receiving first-team All-Orange Coast League laurels for helping the football program reach the CIF Southern Section Southern Division playoffs for the fifth consecutive season.
Urquiza led the way during the Eagles’ late-season charge, as they won their final three league games to finish second and earn the league’s No. 2 postseason entry.
Freshman cornerback Dylan Laurent, senior safety Zack Shafer, senior lineman Osvaldo Villafana and sophomore quarterback Connor Brown made the first team from Estancia (5-6, 3-2 in league).
Urquiza amassed 108 tackles (75 solo) and had a fumble recovery and forced fumble.
Shafer had 75 tackles and one fumble recovery.
Laurent finished with 71 tackles, two interceptions, two fumble recoveries and one forced fumble.
Brown passed for 1,142 yards and eight touchdowns, with 11 interceptions.
