COSTA MESA — Freshman Emma Griffith had 16 kills and her junior sister Abby added nine to pace the host Eagles to the 25-14, 25-19, 25-12 sweep in the Orange Coast League opener on Tuesday.
Estancia improved to 6-7.

CORONA DEL MAR — Seniors Colby Watson and Danny Marshall each produced four goals for the Sea Kings in a Pacific Coast League opener on Tuesday.
CdM’s Jake Wyatt and Armen Mavusi added two goals apiece.
Goalie Patrick McKenzie made six saves for the Sea Kings.
The Sea Kings (5-3), ranked No. 6 in the CIF Southern Section Division 1 poll, play at Northwood on Oct. 2.

Newport Harbor 18, Marina 0
NEWPORT BEACH — Junior Raegen Rutter and freshman Peyton Espley-Jones won two of two doubles sets on Tuesday, helping the Sailors improve to 4-0 in Sunset League play.
Juniors Claire Farmer and Carly Searcy claimed two of two doubles sets for Newport Harbor.
The Sailors (9-3) play Los Alamitos at El Dorado Park on Thursday at 3 p.m.

NEWPORT BEACH — Liana Korber swept at No. 1 singles and the duo of Lauren Hsu and Jaclyn Gerschultz swept at No. 1 doubles to help the Lightning win the Academy League match Tuesday at The Tennis Club Newport Beach.
Kimberly Brown and Amira Tarsadia won twice at No. 2 doubles, as did Mara Beard and Abby Ruck at No. 3 doubles for Sage Hill (3-5, 3-0 in league).
This weekend, the Lightning will play host to the Prep Classic, which will include Tesoro, St. Margaret’s and Bishop Gorman of Las Vegas.

NEWPORT BEACH — Senior Tara Hanna finished with a two-over par 38 during the Sailors’ Sunset League match at Big Canyon Country Club on Tuesday.
Grace Ferrell shot a 45 for Newport Harbor (5-7, 1-3 in league).
Other contributors were Hannah Perry (52), Bowie Viloria (52) and Christina Ferraro (54).
The Sailors play Los Alamitos at Old Ranch Country Club on Thursday at 3 p.m.

TUSTIN — Freshman Amy Matsuoka fired a one-over-par 37 in the Sea Kings’ Pacific Coast League match at Tustin Ranch Golf Club on Monday.
Ann Kim finished with a 42 for CdM (3-5, 2-3 in league), followed by Emily Turner (44), Karlie Moses (46) and Katherine Webb (49).
