The Huntington Beach High girls’ volleyball team remained perfect in Sunset League play with a 17-25, 25-20, 25-21, 25-21 win at home against Los Alamitos on Tuesday night.
Xolani Hodel had 18 kills, and Mahina Williamson added 16 kills for the Oilers (22-5, 7-0). Mia Christensen had 22 digs.
“The game plan was to work the middle tonight, and they both executed to perfection,” Oilers coach Craig Pazanti said of his middle-blocking duo.
Huntington Beach will visit Edison (13-9, 5-1) on Thursday. If the Oilers win, they will clinch at least a share of the Sunset League title.
The Griffins dropped to 18-10, 4-3 in league.
