Golden West too much for Cuyamaca in men’s soccer

The Golden West College men’s soccer team handily defeated Cuyamaca College 5-1 in a nonconference road match Tuesday.
The Rustlers (3-1) actually trailed in the match before scoring five unanswered goals, starting in the 30th minute with a score by Martin Rafael, who had two goals in the contest.
Ernesto Sanchez, Julio Galicia and Ronaldo Escudero rounded out the scoring for Golden West, which next hosts Cerritos College at 3 p.m. Friday.
Also on Tuesday, the Golden West women’s soccer team (1-0-1) battled Palomar to a scoreless tie.
