Butch Lee Memorial Tournament

SAN DIEGO — Corona del Mar High lost to Westview, 3-0, in the championship match Saturday after winning its first four games in the three-day event.

Karsten Sigband, Annie Alvarado and Sydney Raguse all earned all-tournament recognition.

Sigband had two goals and one assist in the five tournament games. Alvarado had a goal and three assists and Raguse had one goal and one assist.

CdM defeated Foothill, 2-1, beat Rancho Buena Vista, 2-0, topped La Jolla, 2-1, and edged Santa Margarita, 1-0, to advance to the final.

COSTA MESA — Michelle Simmons had 12 points and eight rebounds to pace the Eagles in the nonleague game Monday.

Persis Williams had 10 points and seven steals for Estancia (3-6).

Vista Murrieta Duals

MURRIETA — Corona del Mar High’s Paul Nguyen went 5-0 to help the Sea Kings finish sixth in the 13-team field on Saturday.

Nguyen is 13-0 this season.

Taylor Matteson was 4-1 with four pins, while Colin Krum, Andrew Minkus and Chris Croxton were also 4-1 for the Sea Kings.

Irvine tournament

IRVINE — Newport Harbor High seniors Ben Nordstrom (160 pounds) and Jason Aviles (heavyweight) each finished third in the tournament by pinning their opponent in the third-place match.

Nordstrom went 4-1 in the tournament and is 11-2 on the season.

Aviles won three of his four matches.
