High School Roundup: Haylee Orozco powers up for Marina softball

Haylee Orozco had a grand slam and five runs batted in, leading the Marina High School softball team to an 8-2 win over Douglas (Ariz.) on Thursday in the Dave Kops Tournament of Champions in Bullhead City.
Averie Prescott went two for two and drove in two runs. Zoe King had two hits and a run batted in, and Rylee Gonzalez also had two hits.
Marina (5-1) was scheduled to play Murrieta Mesa on Friday as the tournament continued.
Los Amigos 23, Estancia 6: Madelyn Yanez had a double and a triple, three runs scored and three RBIs to lead the visiting Lobos on Thursday in a nonleague game.
Valerie Villa reached base safely five times — with four walks — and scored five runs for Los Amigos (2-4-1). Nathalie Gonzalez and Elizabeth Duran each crossed the plate four times. Karina Landa added a triple and three runs batted in.
Estancia dropped to 2-7 overall.
