High School Roundup: CdM girls’ soccer still undefeated

Lilly Borland, Jane Paulsen and Isabella Garza scored goals for the Corona del Mar High School girls’ soccer team, which remained unbeaten with a 3-0 win over visiting Fullerton on Thursday in a nonleague match.

Ellie Rosing contributed an assist for CdM (5-0). Sydney Walls and Ashley LaRocca each made a save for the Sea Kings to preserve the shutout.

BOYS’ SOCCER

Huntington Beach 1, Bellflower St. John Bosco 0: Carson Dykes scored the goal for the host Oilers on Thursday in an All-Turf Tournament match.

Huntington Beach improved to 3-0-1 with the win.

Los Amigos 3, Marina 0: Izaiah Franco, Arturo Mota and Brandon Medina scored goals for the host Lobos on Thursday in a nonleague match.

Omar Arciga and Anthony Gutierrez had one assist apiece for Los Amigos (3-2). Daniel Terrones made four saves to record the shutout.

Marina is now 1-2-1.

Cerritos Valley Christian 3, Sage Hill 0: Sage Hill fell to 1-3-1 overall with Thursday’s nonleague defeat at home.

GIRLS’ BASKETBALL

Pacifica Christian Orange County 53, Buena Park 31: Addison Deal had 17 points, eight rebounds and five steals to lead the visiting Tritons on Thursday in a nonleague game.

Jamie Mackay had 12 points and 10 rebounds for Pacifica Christian (5-3). Annika Jiwani added eight points and six assists, Ava Carter had seven points, eight rebounds and three blocked shots, and Charis Wondercheck chipped in with seven points and five steals.

Corona Centennial 88, Sage Hill 32: The host Lightning had a six-game winning streak snapped on Thursday in a nonleague game.

Sage Hill is now 9-2 overall.

Dana Hills 44, Edison 32: Mia Cassell had a team-high 14 points and 12 rebounds for the Chargers in Thursday’s nonleague game on the road.

Gwen Ontiveros added five points and five steals for Edison (3-8).

Laguna Beach 37, St. Margaret’s 26: Kate Cheng had 11 points, 13 rebounds and four blocks to lead the Breakers on Thursday in a nonleague game at home.

Sophie Marriner, Anna Cheng and Alexandra Grombchevsky each had eight points for Laguna Beach (8-2), which has won three in a row.

Norwalk 58, Marina 24: The Vikings took their third straight loss on Thursday in a nonleague game at home.

Marina dropped to 4-6 on the season.

Ocean View 43, Century 27: Nayleen Gonzalez paced the Seahawks with 16 points on Thursday in a nonleague road game.

Marisabel Alcaraz added eight points, and Lily Campbell scored six points for Ocean View (5-2), which has won three in a row.

GIRLS’ WATER POLO

Laguna Beach 16, San Clemente 2: Ava Houlahan had a team-high six goals to lead the Breakers on Thursday in a nonleague match.

Charlotte Riches added four goals and Cleo Washer scored twice for Laguna Beach (4-0).
