Herbert “Pete” Foss

Pete was born in Placentia, California January 15, 1924 and passed away on October 20, 2010 in Newport Beach, California. Pete was a longtime Newport resident, UCLA alumni, WWII U.S. Navy Lieutenant JG and 35 year aerospace engineer. He is survived by his beloved wife of 65 years, Orlene Jencks Foss, 3 children, 8 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. Pete will be remembered for his Christian faith, commitment to his family, sense of humor, love of fishing, sailing, golf and camping. A Memorial Service will be held at St. Andrews Presbyterian Church on Friday, October 29 at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, you may donate in his name to the Juvenile Diabetes Foundation.
