Last chance for unclaimed money

A number of Huntington Beach residents and businesses will lose money owed them unless they claim it by June 23.

Huntington Beach is looking for residents and businesses that have left money unclaimed for the past three years, which will soon become the city’s property.

After three years, money left unclaimed becomes the property of the city. The city plans to take possession of a number of funds June 24.

To claim money, residents need to fill out a form on the city’s website and return it to the city treasurer before midnight June 23.
