A group of Huntington Beach moms and daughters have raised $25,000 to give to graduating seniors in need.
The Pacific Coast chapter of the National Charity League was expected to award scholarships to 25 women in the Huntington Beach Union High School District at a special chapter meeting Wednesday.
The National Charity League is a national nonprofit organization bringing mothers and daughters in middle and high school together to do community service projects.
The mothers and daughters held several fundraisers over the year, including a fashion show in March, to raise money for the scholarships.
The scholarships were given to students who have a financial need and high academic goals.
