COSTA MESA — Sophomore Andy Abrams tossed his second complete game of the season in the Orange Empire Conference game Thursday.

Abrams improved to 5-2 after allowing four runs on seven hits, walking one and striking out two.

Jacob Rogers was two for four with a run batted in and run scored for OCC (16-13, 8-7 in conference).

IRVINE — Orange Coast College’s Melissa Boyer and Anna Walinowicz both advanced to today’s quarterfinals.

Boyer earned a 0-6, 6-4, 7-6 (2) win over Karley Pletcher of Saddleback. Walinowicz beat Saddleback’s Clara Kearney, 6-1, 6-2.

IRVINE — Jessy Cardey scored three goals for the No. 13-ranked Anteaters in the Big West Conference game Thursday.

Sophomore Morgan Vickers, a Newport Harbor High product, had nine saves for UCI (12-13, 3-2 in conference).
