Kaballah-based stress techniques
Kaballah-based stress management techniques used by Israel Defense Force Elite Units will be taught by Gill Heart at Chabad Jewish Center at 7 p.m. March 14.
Heart was born and raised in Israel and served for more than six years in an elite, special forces unit.
He received his Ph.D in bio-medical engineering from London University, and moved to the U.S. where he became an entrepreneur. The lecture will focus on stress management, more specifically, the application and implementation of mind in control techniques to improve response every day stressful events.
“Special operations require dealing with stressful circumstances. Being physically fit helps but falls short of being the solution,” he said in a news release. “It is all in your mind.
“Compared with my special forces army experiences, the stresses we go through on a daily basis are, in a way, more difficult. It is sustained stress that makes it more difficult. A baby that cries non-stop, financial uncertainty or health issues are a few examples of sustained stress.”
At the end of the talk, participants will feel that that they have acquired a skill: a “mind in control” technique they can immediately put to use and apply to everyday life stressful events.
Heart implements Kabbalistic knowledge of how to control emotional responses to stress by using the same special forces techniques he practiced during his service.
The lecture is open to the community for $12 per adult, at Chabad Jewish Center, 30804 S. Coast Hwy., Laguna Beach. To make a reservation, call (949) 499-0770 or visit www.chabadoflaguna.com.
