MEN’S VOLLEYBALL
UC Irvine def. Princeton
IRVINE — Sophomore Austin D’Amore matched his career-high with 10 kills and season-high six block assists as the No. 7-ranked Anteaters’ swept the nonconference match, 30-26, 30-16, 30-22, Tuesday night.
Senior Cole Reinholm added 10 kills for UCI (5-4).
The Anteaters took a six-point lead after going on a 9-3 run in the opening game.
UCI plays at No. 9 Hawaii on Friday and Saturday.
WOMEN’S BASKETBALL
Vanguard 65, Cal Baptist 50
RIVERSIDE — Senior Bridgette Reyes finished with 23 points and four steals in the No. 4-ranked Lions’ Golden State Athletic Conference game Tuesday night.
Senior Diana Neves contributed 10 points and four rebounds for Vanguard (12-2, 8-2 in conference).
The Lions closed out the first half on a 16-6 run and took a 32-24 lead at halftime. Vanguard plays host to The Masters, ranked No. 24, Saturday at 5:30 p.m.
MEN’S BASKETBALL
Cal Baptist 60, Vanguard 49
RIVERSIDE — Senior Greg Scott scored a game-high 16 points for the Lions in the Golden State Athletic Conference game Tuesday night.
Junior Alex Chapman added 12 points for Vanguard (4-12, 3-7 in conference), which lost its fourth straight game.
Cal Bapist improved to 13-7, 6-4.
Luke Evans led the Lancers with 14 points.
