SEATTLE — Charles Garcia made two free throws with 15.6 seconds left to lift the hosts in the nonconference game Tuesday.
UCI senior guard Michael Hunter had a career-high 23 points, the last two of which gave the visitors (5-4) a one-point lead with 36 seconds left.
But Eric Wise was called for his fifth foul to put Garcia at the line.
UCI committed a turnover on its final possession and saw its three-game winning streak end.
Seattle improved to 6-5.
Darren Moore had 12 points for UCI, for which Wise and Mike Wilder added 10 apiece.
There were 10 lead changes in the second half.
UCI returns home to face San Jose State Friday at 7:05 p.m.

CORVALIS, Ore. — The host Beavers posted a 49-21 rebounding advantage in the nonconference game Tuesday night.
Senior guard Keyonna Johnson scored a career-high 13 points and Mikah Maly-Karros, a transfer from Loyola Marymount, had 10 in her UCI debut.
Maly-Karros, who started at forward, made four of six field-goal attempts and led the Anteaters with six rebounds.
Johnson was five of eight from the field, including one for one from three-point range.
Other than Johnson and Maly-Karros, UCI players made just six of 26 field-goal tries (23.1%).
UCI (2-7) had 22 turnovers, but Oregon State (6-2) had 19.
Rebecca Maessen had nine points for UCI, all in the first half.
