Another candidate files for council

Gregg DeLong, a small business owner and father of three, filed his intention to run for Huntington Beach City Council Thursday, bringing the total number of contenders to 12.

A first-time candidate, he said he favors building a new senior center, opposes commercial downtown expansion and wants the city to be more environmentally responsible.

“I just thought I wanted to get more involved,” said DeLong, who said he worked in the mortgage industry for two decades before launching his own marketing company.
