Seminar offers tips on how to save for college

Parents of college-bound students can save big with tips and tricks from Carden Academy of Huntington Beach’s seminar on college funding.

“Pay Less for College: How Parents Can Reduce Their College Expenses When They No Longer Have Time to Save” will offer advice for parents to help save on their child’s education.

In the seminar, parents will learn how to get money for college even if they don’t qualify for financial aid, what to do before applying for college to maximize the college’s offer and how to increase a student’s chances of winning private scholarships.

The seminar is at 7 p.m. Tuesday in Carden Academy’s Multipurpose Room at 721 E. Utica Ave.
