COSTA MESA — Junior Lily McLendon had 15 kills to help the host Eagles claim a 25-23, 25-15, 25-15 triumph over their crosstown and Orange Coast League rival Thursday.
Senior Shona Lamb had 32 assists and senior libero Amanda Watson had 25 digs for the winners (14-9, 3-2 in league).

LAGUNA HILLS — Hailey Senske had 11 kills to help lead the Sea Kings to a 25-19, 25-16, 25-5 Pacific Coast League win Thursday.
Sydney Brombal had eight digs, Madie Smith added 35 assists and Morgan Boukather had five aces for CdM (15-3, 6-0 in league).

FOUNTAIN VALLEY — The Sailors swept the Sunset League match, 25-14, 25-15, 26-24, but are hoping they did not sustain a significant loss.
Sophomore starting middle blocker Claire Castillo went down in the second game with a knee injury, the extent of which has yet to be determined, Newport Harbor assistant Taylor Govaars said.
Kirby Burnham (11 kills) and Cinnamon Sary (32 assists) helped the Sailors improve to 19-3, 6-0 in league.

HUNTINGTON BEACH — The Sailors’ Claire Ramser scored two goals, including the game-winner three minutes into sudden-death overtime during the Sunset League match Thursday.
Lauren Grupe assisted on both goals. Goalie Sydney King had five saves for Newport Harbor (11-2, 7-1 in league).

NEWPORT BEACH — Tess Crane, Grace Kim and Ashley Varner each shot seven-over-par 42 for the host Sea Kings in the Pacific Coast League finale Thursday at Newport Beach Country Club.
The loss dropped CdM (12-9, 7-3 in league) into a second-place tie with Beckman. The best team score in the first round of the league individual tournament Monday will determine the league’s No. 2 and No. 3 representatives for the CIF Southern Section postseason.
Caitlin Shinohara (45) and Amanda Johnson (46) also scored for the Sea Kings.
Beckman’s Tina Kwon (36) was the medalist.

LONG BEACH — Sophomore Erin Hong shot seven-over-par 43 to pace the Lightning in the Academy League finale Thursday at Skylinks Golf Course.

Alex Aiello and Riley Mathies swept at No. 2 doubles dropping only one game, and Blake Bakkila swept at No. 3 singles for Newport Harbor (11-3, 6-0 in league).

CORONA DEL MAR — Freshman Nini Ugrelidze a recent transfer from the Country of Georgia won 6-0, 6-0, in singles during the Pacific Coast League match Thursday.

COSTA MESA — Charlie Umansky had four goals as every player scored for the Eagles in the nonleague game Thursday.
