Boys chorus to hold an open house

The All-American Boys Chorus will conduct an informational open house session at 9 a.m. Aug. 29 at the Orange County fairgrounds.
The chorus is a nonprofit organization that offers vocal training and leadership skills to boys between the ages of 8 and 10. According to Executive Director Anthony Manrique, the club’s benefits go beyond vocal instruction.
“The All-American Boys Chorus wants to reach out to as many Orange County families as possible and welcomes boys from every community,” he said in a news release. “Boys accepted into the AABC will learn how to sing, establish lifelong friendships, acquire leadership qualities, and enjoy unique opportunities to travel the world.”
Manrique will be on hand to answer questions, along with other club officials and parents. Potential club members will have the opportunity to take a five-minute “ears test,” during which they will sing “Happy Birthday.”
Participants should enter the fairgrounds via Gate Eight on Arlington Avenue, then proceed to the Ranch Building.
