Commotion breaks out over lost keys

Someone reported four subjects — two males and two females — who were screaming over how they couldn’t find their keys at 1:47 a.m. Friday at Pacific Coast Highway and Ninth Street.

The caller didn’t see a vehicle anywhere near them.

AREA 1

Beach Boulevard: A physical fight in front of Chipotle was reported in the 16200 block at 7:54 p.m. Saturday. Reports say there were about 40 witnesses.

Beach Boulevard and Edinger Avenue: A woman reported that a man began kicking her car and yelling at her at 9:28 a.m. June 11. The vehicle was scuffed. The man left on foot.

Parkside Lane: A woman reported that her son may have stolen her three guitars and pawned them in Huntington Beach and Westminster in the 16100 block at 5:43 p.m. Saturday.

Viewpoint Lane: A man reported four subjects doing crystal meth in the 16700 block at 6 p.m. Sunday.

AREA 2

Alberta Drive and Huntington Street: A woman reported seeing a male and female smoking something out of tin foil for two hours in a parked van at 10:40 a.m. June 11.

Slater Avenue: Two males were reported to be smoking a joint beyond the wall of a children-occupied pool in the 7800 block at 7:07 p.m. Friday.

Valley Circle: A Nintendo device was reported stolen when someone broke into a Nissan Altima in the 18900 block the previous night at 8:55 a.m. Saturday.

Warner Avenue: Someone reported spouse and child abuse in a male vs. female conflict in front of the post office in the 6700 block at 4:15 a.m. Friday. It was reported that the woman fell to the ground and the man threatened her.

Whitewater Drive: A family disturbance was reported when two brothers, 17 and 27, began fighting in the 7600 block at 5:02 a.m. Friday. The older brother allegedly assaulted the younger one. Weapons were involved, and a shot was heard from inside the home.

AREA 3

Eleventh Street: A party with loud music in a neighbor’s backyard was reported in the 400 block at 10:37 p.m. Saturday.

Fourteenth Street: Two suspicious men who said they were with a security company were reported in the 800 block at 4:41 p.m. Saturday.

Third Street: Two females were reported to be fighting in the middle of the street with a group of men egging them on in the 300 block at 2:02 a.m. Saturday. No weapons were involved.

AREA 4

Adams Avenue: Juveniles were reported as stealing marshmallows for their s’mores in the 10000 block at 5:55 p.m. Saturday. The suspects then left in a vehicle and drove to fire pits by the beach.

Bushard Street: A window was smashed and 13 fishing reels were reported stolen in a burglary in the 19000 block at 6:56 a.m. Sunday.

Edinger Avenue: Five shots were heard coming from the front of some apartments in the 6100 block at 11:31 p.m. Saturday.

Effingham Drive: Someone reported a reckless driver whose car was literally burning rubber on the road in the 9700 block at 5:44 p.m. Saturday. The vehicle sped by five children on the street, according to the report.

Magnolia Street: Someone reported about 12 trespassers who climbed a fence and occupied a pool in the 21400 block at 1:37 p.m. Saturday.

Parkside Lane: Someone reported seeing a suspicious male in his late 20s sitting in a parked white Toyota truck along the 16100 block at 12:19 a.m. Friday. The man reportedly kept leaning back, then getting up to look around him.

AREA 5

Brookhurst Street: A suspicious subject was reported in the 18100 block at 5:28 p.m. Saturday.

La Linda Avenue: A grand theft was reported at 1:55 p.m. Sunday.

Swan Circle: A fireworks disturbance was reported at 11:51 p.m. Sunday.

AREA 6

Adelante Avenue: A loud party was reported at 10686 at 7:59 p.m. Saturday.

Brookhurst Street: A domestic disturbance was reported at 17431 at 3:23 p.m. Friday.

Warner Avenue: A suspicious subject was reported at a Mini Mart at 8:36 p.m. Sunday.

Warner Avenue and the 405 Freeway: An abandoned vehicle was reported at 7:54 p.m. Friday.
