Newport’s Cramer stuns CdM with game-winner

CORONA DEL MAR — Attacker Elizabeth Cramer scored the game-winning goal, lifting visiting Newport Harbor High to an 8-7 victory against Corona del Mar in the Battle of the Bay girls’ lacrosse game Friday.

Cramer recorded two of her three goals in the second half. The game-winner came with 3 minutes, 3 seconds left in the game.

Shannon Rohan also contributed to the Sailors’ second-half surge, scoring twice. She had three goals.

Senior Amy Youngman had three goals and one assist for the Sea Kings. Hillary Bush added two goals.
