CdM’s Moskovits picks to play baseball at Harvard

Corona del Mar High senior Danny Moskovits will play baseball at Harvard, spurning a chance to compete for a handful of other NCAA Division I programs.
Moskovits, a two-time Daily Pilot Dream Team selection, said he picked Harvard over Division I offers from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, UC Santa Barbara and Valparaiso, among others.
A first-team All-Pacific Coast League pitcher as a sophomore, Moskovits was aiming to continue as an infielder and said Harvard was the best place for that. He also said the Crimson is a program on the rise.
Moskovits, who earned second-team all-league recognition last year while dealing with shoulder and elbow issues, said he is relieved to have made his decision.
“I can focus on the season and helping us win a league championship,” said Moskovits, who led the team with three home runs and 16 RBIs last year.
