Boys’ choir seeks to train new singers, ages 8 to 10

The Costa Mesa-based All-American Boys Chorus is recruiting new singers through February.
The 110-member group performs concerts around the country and internationally.
The choir is especially reaching out to boys ages 8 to 10, according to Music Director Wesley Martin.
No prior musical training is necessary to try out for the choir, but the ability to recognize and sing a pitch is important.
“Really [the auditions] are about looking for potential rather than the finished product,” Martin said.
The choir rehearses at the Orange County Fair and Events Center, and a new training session is starting up Feb. 14 in hopes of getting new recruits adequately trained before the summer.
An open house for interested parents and kids will be at 7:15 p.m. Feb. 10, at the fairgrounds, 1055 Arlington Drive.
Attendees should enter the grounds through Gate 8.
