2008 District 62 All-Star Champions

Fans were treated to outstanding baseball at the District 62 Juniors All-Stars championship game played Monday at Johnson Middle School in Westminster.

Seaview squeaked by Robinwood 4-2. The game was close throughout with both teams getting out of jams on several occasions, keeping the score tight. Erik McCoy’s 2-RBI hit in the 1st inning gave Seaview the lead which they never surrendered.

Seaview pitcher, Aaron Rakhshani pitched efficiently and was backed by solid infield defense provided by Jacob Rushing, Shaun Thompson, Connor Ahern, and Erik McCoy. Max Mayer did a great job behind the plate throughout the game. Troy Baljeu, Blake Workman, Kyle Curtis, Lane Hepburn, Adam Munoz, Brendan Hartjoy, and John Benvenuti also contributed to the strong defensive effort to help solidify the win.

The coaching team of Bryan Davis, Jerry Rushing and Paul Mayer guided the team to victory using key defensive positioning to help nullify Robinwood threats. Seaview now moves on to the Section 10 tournament in Aliso Viejo, CA starting July 12th.
