Brian Robert Hogan, 38, a Mission Viejo resident lost his battle with melanoma cancer on July 6, 2008. A memorial and celebration of life will be held on Monday, July 14 at the Norman P. Murray Community Center in Mission Viejo at 5:30 p.m.
Hogan was born on July 25, 1969 in Pomona and was a lifelong resident of Laguna Beach. He attended Top of the World Elementary School, Thurston Middle School and was a 1988 graduate of Laguna Beach High School where he was a member of the varsity football team.
A successful landscape architect, he was a Senior Principal at HRP Studio of Santa Ana and worked on several high-profile projects including the community of Crystal Cove, Dodger Stadium and the Marriott Newport Coast Villas.
He is survived by his wife Anna Hogan of Mission Viejo; his parents James and Judy Hogan of Corona Del Mar; brother Tim of San Diego; grandmother Madeline Parsons of Rancho Bernardo; grandparents Gil and Jane Brownlee of Laguna Beach and aunts, uncles and cousins.
Brian will be loved and missed by everyone who knew him. His contagious laugh, big heart and love for mountain biking, flowers and gardens will never be forgotten.
